Grandcamp (ex- Benjamin R.Curtis) on April 16th 1947 at Texas City, Texas shortly before 8:00AM during loading Ammonium Nitrate for Europe. Owned by French Goverment and operated by Companie Generale Transatlantique under French Flag and Registry.
